Experience
Kylie was a first-generation college student (with her first-ever college course being here at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵAPP while she was in high school) and she now holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership. She has an extensive background in education and community engagement, having previously served as a Director of the Career Ladders Project and the Director of Dual Enrollment & Early College for both Bakersfield College and Kern Community College District. As a former high school teacher and principal, Kylie has extensive experience in outreach, teaching, and educational management.
Born and raised in ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵAPP, Kylie attended ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵAPP High School and then graduated from John F. Kennedy Middle College High School. As a result of this experience, Kylie knows firsthand the positive impact that early college programs can have on students, especially first-generation college students like herself. In her new role, she will be responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵAPP's high school and educational partnership programs, including dual enrollment and the Rising Scholars program. She is deeply committed to strengthening partnerships with community-based organizations and industry partners to create opportunities for our community at every stage of life.
